Dear Sir,

In reply to your letter Nr. 200801747/2 16.9.2008 concerning the complaints of a group of Albanian detainees, serving their sentence in Patra’s prison, I would like to bring to your knowledge that the Ministry of Justice has informed us that the persons in question have never been subjected to any kind of mistreatment by the Greek authorities when justice had to be dispensed to them. According to the said Ministry, the Greek law is enforced in a uniform manner on every violator, no matter his race, origin and nationality.

This Embassy are in touch with the competent authorities and in case of any further details I will inform you accordingly.
